alterations on corset finished corset
this is the final corset image that was done. i made alterations to the waist tapering it to add more shape to my corset. i also added half moon padding to the breast pieces so that it would push them up and add more shape to the body.
i am very proud of the alterations as this did not take as long as i thought it would have been as i knew what i would be able to do.
i also collected many leaves today that made it possible for me to add to my crinoline the leaves would make it possible to cover my models top of legs
final fitting
this was for the dress rehearsal on friday 3rd of december i had managed to make my corset ready to try by the date that was initially said that we had to get this done for so we could have the rest of the week to finish up the last finishing touches.
my alterations that were discussed when talking to the teacher
the waist of my corset had to be taken in as it was to loose on my model.
the crinoline has to be moved down the body of my model with a extra panel of my fabric to be added to make this possible for it to be moved down the body.
more leaves and fabric manipulation on my crinoline
head piece to be made

crinoline continued
Head piece design
when looking at my past post on emma yeo i wanted to design a design that was like her silk and wood piece necklace. this idea of combining the materials really inspired me as i have used silk in my corset and my crinloine and would continue the theme of me using silk within my design.
i started comign up with the concept by taking the idea of using a flower design and making the petals just a thin outline i wanted to make a point of the design beign fragile like flowers are fragile but by some how combining them with the laser cut material which i still need to talk to a technition about which would be the best idea and transfer it onto the auto cad design so i can make it possible to use CAD and CAM to make my design possible

making my crinoline
changes to the crinoline
when making my crinoline i had to make changes as the ridgeoline was not strong enough to hold the structure that i designed as it was moving to much and would not hold it correctly when i would add my material on to it.
after struggling to make the original structure work i decided to make it out of thin boning that was more weighted and held better when i made it, the way that i made the pattern was by putting the pieces of fabric onto it and using a tailors chalk to mark out where the boning was hanging that i had made 8 cm apart from each other being precise was essential to making this hang correctly.
the material that i used is semi transparent silk that was £8.99 a meter which is to be added to my budget list.
i made a toile of my pattern piece that i made for the crinoline to make sure that it worked so i had confidence in what i had made.
hat inspiration
Emma Yeo is a freelance designer in fashion accessories who uses wood and silk in this piece to make a necklace i want to take this idea and use auto cad to create a piece like this to reflect my overall concept of my design.
The photos above have other inspiration to my project the way that they are torn and ragged this is what i want to do for a head piece for my model.

a dark side to crinolines
this image when doing research i found to show a dark side to crinolines the way that it has shown the crinolines not on the normal place but it on the sleeves i found that tobe very interesting by doing it in a unconventional way. the way the photo-shoot is done is dark and this is what i think i would want my photo-shoot to be as when doing more in-depth research i found that most titania fairies where photo-shoot in a very pantomime way
looking at makeup for my photoshoot
i want to have makeup that would compliment my design i am looking at various versions of how makeup is done to see which one i think will be the best.
these i feel that i have looked at will be the sort of thing that i want to have on my models makeup. although i would want a more rustic feel to the way i want it to look
